Flyover to Honor Veterans, Showcase Air Power
The University of Wisconsin-Madison has announced that a flyover by two F-35 Lightning II aircraft will take place during the Badgers' football game against the University of Alabama on Saturday, September 3rd. The flyover is scheduled to occur at approximately 2:45 p.m. CT, prior to the start of the game.
Honoring Veterans, Showcasing Air Power
The flyover is intended to honor veterans and showcase the capabilities of the F-35, the most advanced fighter jet in the world. The F-35 is a fifth-generation fighter that is designed to replace the F-16 Fighting Falcon and the F/A-18 Hornet. It is a single-seat, single-engine aircraft that is capable of both air-to-air and air-to-ground combat.
