Flyover to Honor Veterans, Showcase Air Power

The University of Wisconsin-Madison has announced that a flyover by two F-35 Lightning II aircraft will take place during the Badgers' football game against the University of Alabama on Saturday, September 3rd. The flyover is scheduled to occur at approximately 2:45 p.m. CT, prior to the start of the game.

Honoring Veterans, Showcasing Air Power

The flyover is intended to honor veterans and showcase the capabilities of the F-35, the most advanced fighter jet in the world. The F-35 is a fifth-generation fighter that is designed to replace the F-16 Fighting Falcon and the F/A-18 Hornet. It is a single-seat, single-engine aircraft that is capable of both air-to-air and air-to-ground combat.

Flyover to Be Visible from Miles Around

The flyover will be visible from miles around the stadium. The aircraft will fly over the stadium at an altitude of approximately 1,000 feet. The flyover is expected to last for approximately five minutes.
