Kentucky's football team lost its SEC opener to South Carolina on Saturday, putting their bowl streak in jeopardy. The Wildcats have won a bowl game in each of Mark Stoops' nine seasons as head coach, but their 0-1 record in SEC play puts them in a difficult position. Kentucky will need to win at least three of their remaining six SEC games to become bowl eligible. That will be a challenge, as the Wildcats have a tough schedule remaining. They still have to play No. 1 Alabama, No. 11 Tennessee, and No. 22 Mississippi State. If Kentucky does not make a bowl game, it will be a major disappointment for Stoops and his team. The Wildcats have become accustomed to success under Stoops, and they will be looking to bounce back from their loss to South Carolina and make it to a bowl game for the 10th straight season. Kentucky's next game is Saturday at No. 1 Alabama. The Crimson Tide are one of the best teams in the country, and they will be a tough test for the Wildcats. Kentucky will need to play their best game of the season if they want to have a chance to win.
Kentucky’s Remaining SEC Schedule:
- at No. 1 Alabama (Oct. 8)
- at No. 11 Tennessee (Oct. 29)
- vs. Mississippi State (Nov. 5)
- at Vanderbilt (Nov. 12)
- vs. No. 22 New Mexico State (Nov. 19)
- at No. 2 Georgia (Nov. 26)
